Thumbles exists because I lived the struggle.

I had years of experience working with kids — teaching, leading camp programs, supporting other educators. I knew how to engage children. I understood child development. I could design a lesson plan in my sleep.

But when I became a stay-at-home mom? Everything I thought I knew felt... useless.

The overwhelm was real. The isolation was crushing. And the guilt? It showed up every single day — in the mess on the floor, in the screen time that stretched too long, in the moments I snapped when I didn't mean to.

I kept thinking: If I can't figure this out with all my training, what about the moms who don't have that background?

We were the first in our family to have kids. There were no big sisters dropping by with wisdom. No cousins around the corner to take the kids for an afternoon. No village.

Just me, my kids, and the relentless pressure to "make every moment count."

Then Everything Changed (Again)

When my twins were born, I hired help. And suddenly I had a new fear: What if my nanny has a hard day and I'm not there?

I wanted her to feel supported. I wanted her to have a plan she could trust — something that didn't require her to be a Pinterest mom or a preschool teacher. I wanted her to know that on the tough days (because there are tough days), she had a system that worked.

That's when it clicked.
